RÉV for Cange, Haiti

RÉV: Dream

Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the world.  In 2010 they were hit by a devastating earthquake, killing thousands and destroying millions of homes. Today, they are still struggling to repair the damage it caused.

The Partnership Cange is a project with long history of relationship between the people of Cange, Partners in Health, and the Episocpal Diocese of Upper South Carolina.  This partnership worked to create (Fully functional hospital, K-12 School, Village Schools, Training Center, Partners in Agriculture, The Water Project, The Artisan Center)

Following the earthquake of 2010, Partners in Health had major financial and programmatic restructuring.  They drastically reduced their support to this shared ministry.

The Campaign for Cange is committed to rescuing and sustaining Cange. The goal of $1 million dollars will buy time to develop strategic plans and put into place sustainability systems.

RÉV Designs was created out of my love for fashion and desire to help the people of Haiti.  For every scarf sold, 50% of the profits will go towards the Campaign for Cange; specifically to support the efforts of the school.

The fabric for each scarf is carefully chosen and varies depending on the collection. Initially, these scarves are made from upcycled fabric and clothing.  They will be one of a kind offerings.  While creating and designing these scarves, I will be working with the Haitian artisans to partner with them for making the fabrics for the scarves and for producing the scarves in the next year.
